 Introduction Nkhoma Hospital will implement an indoor residual spraying program in the Linthipe valley (4,500 households) in November 2009. Indoor residual spraying is the application of an insecticide on the inside wall of a house or hut, that kills malaria mosquitoes. The goal of the program is to improve maternal and child health in the target area through a reduction in malaria incidence.
